INTRODUCTION
Studio 9 Films Ltd is the company led by
award winning producer/director/self shooter and photojournalist Fiona Lloyd-Davies. She has made programmes for all the major broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4 and Al Jazeera English for
nearly two decades. She is also commissioned
to make films by NGO’s.

AWARDS
Fiona is well known for the twenty films she made for Newsnight with Salam Pax, the "Baghdad Blogger". Their unique style, bringing quirky and moving first hand experiences of living in Iraq, brought them recognition with an RTS award for Innovation 2003 - 2004. This is the second RTS she's been awarded. The first was for her film Licence to Kill, for BBC2's Correspondent foreign affairs series.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Fiona also works as a photojournalist. Her work
can be seen in broadsheets, magazines as well
as on NGO websites. She also combines her
unique photographic style and portraiture with her moving images for specially commissioned
multi -media films. Her work has also been
exhibited in London and other locations.

In July 2005 she was commissioned by Edinburgh
City Council to return to the DR Congo to find the women, victims of sexual violence, she had photographed in 2001. The exhibition was part of Edinburgh's Africa season to mark the G8 summit.

With her proven track record as a series producer, and seasoned producer/director the company is delivering high quality films for traditional and multi-platform broadcasts. FIONA LLOYD-DAVIES Fiona found her way into TV through an ad hoc trip to Bosnia in the first few months of the war in 1992. It landed her, her first job as a researcher, on Clive Gordon's film “The Unforgiving” which won a BAFTA. It also started her passion for exposing human rights issue's and bringing stories from areas of conflict to a wider audience. Now over nineteen years later, she's made a wide range of films from "obs docs" to history and current affairs. , Her work combines journalism with a strong visual style that she learnt as a graduate of the Royal College of Art. She is also using the latest HD technology, self-shooting with the newest HD tapeless camera on the market while making her latest film in the Democratic Republic of Congo. , In 2011 she was asked to write a monologue about a peace builder in the Democratic Republic of Congo which was performed by award winning actor Mark Rylance, in New York.
