INTRODUCTION Studio 9 Films Ltd is the company led by award winning producer/director/self shooter and photojournalist Fiona Lloyd-Davies. She has made programmes for all the major broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4 and Al Jazeera English for nearly two decades. She is also commissioned to make films by NGO’s. AWARDS Fiona is well known for the twenty films she made for Newsnight with Salam Pax, the "Baghdad Blogger". Their unique style, bringing quirky and moving first hand experiences of living in Iraq, brought them recognition with an RTS award for Innovation 2003 - 2004. This is the second RTS she's been awarded. The first was for her film Licence to Kill, for BBC2's Correspondent foreign affairs series. PHOTOGRAPHY Fiona also works as a photojournalist. Her work can be seen in broadsheets, magazines as well as on NGO websites. She also combines her unique photographic style and portraiture with her moving images for specially commissioned multi -media films. Her work has also been exhibited in London and other locations. . In July 2005 she was commissioned by Edinburgh City Council to return to the DR Congo to find the women, victims of sexual violence, she had photographed in 2001. The exhibition was part of Edinburgh's Africa season to mark the G8 summit. |
