MY AMAZING BRAIN: RICHARD'S WAR

A FIONA LLOYD-DAVIES FILM
BBC TWO HORIZON

One man's fight learning to live again. Filmed over four years, filmmaker Fiona Lloyd-Davies records her husband Richard's recovery from a catastrophic brain haemorrhage. The film is one of the only recorded examples of catastrophic stroke recovery, from the immediate aftermath through to Richard being able to enjoy gardening again. As well as being screened at film festivals, it has been used as a tool to illustrate the power of neuroplasticity and the brain’s ability to recover in medical schools and hospitals, and at conventions in the UK and beyond.
