The company is currently developing a range of short courses and bespoke filmmaking training. The courses cater for young, emerging journalists and filmmakers; photographers who wish to expand their knowledge to the moving image; and those who are looking for introductory or refresher courses in specific areas.

The courses have grown out of the need for specific training that may be difficult to find in the educational and professional sector. With the increasing number of people forced to work freelance from the start of their career, there are few opportunities to learn ‘on the job’.

 

 

Studio 9 Films aims to address this gap, utilising Fiona’s experience of both working direct for the major broadcasters such as the BBC and ITN, as well as being commissioned as an Independent.
