“Ahmad’s Story” Channel 4 News TX June 7th 2016
The filmmaker Katie Barlow brought this story to Studio 9 Films, which was commissioned by Channel 4 News. It tells the story of 7 year old Afghan refugee, Ahmad. He saved the lives of 15 adults and himself by sending a text , when suffocating, locked in the back of a lorry coming across from Calais to the UK. Found by the police at a Leicester Service Station he was taken to a hostel with his older brother where they wait for their fate to be decided by the British authorities.
